This 25kVA single phase pole-mounted transformer is designed for overhead distribution networks using a 15kV class primary system. It converts 12470Y/7200V grounded-wye primary voltage to 120/240V secondary service, making it suitable for rural distribution lines, utility pole service points, municipal facilities, and light commercial loads.
The transformer is specified to meet DOE 2016 and CSA efficiency ratings. It uses a liquid-filled ONAN self-cooled structure with Type II non-PCB mineral oil, copper windings, and a cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel core. The primary side is equipped with high-voltage porcelain bushings and live bushing lug connection. The secondary side uses threaded stud terminals for 120/240V single-phase service connection.
A 5-position tap changer with an external operating handle allows primary-side voltage adjustment within the specified tap range. The coated steel tank, corrosion-resistant cover band, double hanger bracket, lifting lugs, and ANSI light grey finish support outdoor pole-mounted installation, handling, and maintenance planning.
